DIFFERENCE DAY

In 1993 the United Nations General Assembly declared May 3rd to be World Press Freedom Day. Press Freedom is a cornerstone of Human Rights.

Freedom of Expression implies respect for the opinion of others.

Since 2015, C+H helps celebrate World Press Freedom Day. We started our collaboration by creating the name 'Difference Day'.

 

In 2015 the two Free Universities of Brussels, VUB / ULB and partners, decided to create an annual event in order to celebrate freedom of the press and freedom of expression.

C+H was asked to develop a global concept, including a name, logo and event.

As a starting point for our concept, we thought respecting the other, honouring the difference between people, was the real basis of freedom of speech. So we invented the concept of Difference Day.
